Title: Education Worker

Location: East Riding of Yorkshire

Pay: £25,500 per annum with it increasing next year

Duration: FT – Permanent

Reed - Further Education are seeking an Education Worker to work in outreach for a charity based in East Riding of Yorkshire. You will be working with young people out of the main centre as well as in different education providers.

This is a part of a Graduate scheme, so this will offer you training for 2 years and could lead to progression within the charity.

What's the day-to-day responsibilities of an Education Worker?

  • To work with your team to plan and deliver the education programme which includes students from secondary and further education and providing 1:1 support.
  • You will work with young people in different settings where we would expect you to positively manage behaviour.
  • To assist with the organisation and delivery of the academic and mentoring programmes.
  • You will liaise with third parties and bodies in organising project delivery.
  • You will recruit students for the after-hours academic support and reading weeks.
  • You will develop educational resources and worksheets for use across all programmes.

What are the required skills and qualifications needed for this role?

  • Have complete or are predicted to complete an undergraduate degree of 2.2 or higher (vital for the graduate scheme programme)
  • Have achieved grade C or grad 4 or higher in GCSE Maths and English.
  • Have some relevant experience of working with young people and/or children.
  • Have the right to work in the UK (unfortunately they are unable to offer sponsorship at this stage)
