A HLTA is required for a school based in Ealing. The school is made up of a caring and dedicated staff who create an environment where their pupils feel happy and supported. All pupils enjoy coming to school and are always supported to achieve their very best in all they do. In their most recent Ofsted inspection, the school received a rating of "Outstanding" with inspectors stating that 'The school environment is calm and orderly but with a constant buzz of learning.'
Your duties as a HLTA
You will be working predominately with KS1, teaching group as well as regularly teaching whole classes. Your other duties will include:
- Recording and reporting the pupil's progress to the teacher.
- Establish a warm, caring, and supportive relationship with pupils to support them feeling safe and enabling them to enjoy and learn during their time at the school.
- Demonstrate a proven ability to work collaboratively within a multi-professional team.
- Contribute to providing high quality, challenging, and differentiated educational activities and experiences through supporting the teaching of a broad and balanced curriculum aiming at pupils achieving their full potential in all areas of learning.
- Respond to the varying and changing needs of the school and adapt to any task presented to achieve the smooth running of the school.
- Provide a safe learning environment for the children.
What you will need for this HLTA job
- HLTA or teaching qualification
- At least two years' experience as a HLTA or classroom teacher
- Excellent communication in both written and spoken English
- Hold the right to work in the UK
- DBS registered to the Update Service- or be willing to complete a new DBS application through Hays
