Neighbourhood Officer

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a housing association that specialises in providing accessible and adaptable homes, for two Neighbourhood Officers.

They are offering two roles, one on a Fixed Term Contract and another Permanent role. Both roles will require a full UK driving licence and a Basic DBS. They are full-time roles totalling 35hrs per week.

Day to day duties will include:

  • Lead the management of a patch of assets and neighbourhoods, ensuring they are clean, safe and desirable places to live
  • Delivering an effective housing management service, including tenancy management, support residents to sustain their tenancy and enforcement where there is a breach of tenancy
  • Support the delivery of an effective income collection service where needed
  • Support the provision of an effective void, repairs and maintenance service to all assets
  • Conduct viewings, sign ups and other site visits as and when required, ensuring the viewing experience represent the organisation and the asset positively
  • Promote and implement transfer and exchange schemes to ensure the best use of housing stock
  • Deliver an effective end to end investigation and resolution service for customers experiencing anti-social behaviour in their homes
  • Ensure all activities are within budgetary constraints, including estate services charge expenditure and support the Neighbourhood Manager in management of patch service charge budgets
  • Take action in accordance with policy and procedure in all safeguarding situations and act as Case Lead on safeguarding and domestic abuse cases where nominated by the Safeguarding Lead and undertake actions in line with safeguarding policy and procedure
  • Work in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and Data Protection Law and be responsible for the integrity of personal information you process
  • Attend and participate in training and other meetings and staff events as required.
  • Contribute to the development of a customer focused culture
  • Work flexibly and out of hours where necessary to attend meetings and ensure proactive management of tenancy and neighbourhood issues
