My client is looking for an experienced Town Planner to join their growing team in York. Established for nearly 20 years, they operate across a wide range of sectors including Residential, Energy and Waste, and Industrial. In this expert team of Chartered Planners, Architects, Landscape Architects, Urban Designers and Engineers, you will have a fantastic opportunity for professional development. Responsibilities:
- Working proactively and on your own initiative on a range of planning applications and planning appeals.
- Working on large-scale residential and renewable energy projects.
- Responding to general and client planning enquiries, producing tender documents, and negotiating with statutory consultees.
- Preparing and presenting high quality planning reports.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Relevant experience in the industry.
- A proved track record of managing caseloads for different types of planning applications, ideally in the Residential or Renewable Energy sectors.
- The ability to prepare and present high quality planning reports.
- Experience writing appeal statements and the appeal process.
- An accredited degree in Town Planning, or related subject.
- Be working towards chartered status with the RTPI.

- £32,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
