Alfa Staff - Production Manager - Days
Alfa Staff are looking for someone to join the team on our customer site in Rhymney Tredegar. A WAMITAB qualification is desirable however applicants without will be considered.
Hours are Monday to Friday - 06.00 to 16.00
Duties include:
- To be responsible and accountable for the Health and Safety of the team on site and hold regular safety briefings with the team
- Ensure all Site Policies and Waste Efficiency polices are adhered to
- Hold team briefs with the team at the start of every shift, delegating tasks for the day
- Ensure all team members are wearing the correct PPE for the task they have been asked to do, this is something that you should continue to monitor throughout the shift
- Delegate work tasks to team members, including tasks for yourself
- Ensure manning hours are for specific tasks are worked out according to the standard procedure
- If there are any new tasks to be completed, ensure team members fully understand what is required and that they follow the correct SOP/ Risk Assessment
- Make sure the team stay punctual and document any issues
- Ensure the team report any near misses or accidents
- Shift hand over between Team Leaders, this should be completed between every shift, and documented
- Any safety issues should be documented.
- Be responsible for creating and communicating safety briefs for the team
- Complete safety observations on team members, discuss any improvements with team member
- Handle disagreements between team members, follow up with the site Manager.
- Keeping the moral and motivation of the team high, ensure you're leading by example
- Documenting procedures (SOP's)
- Being involved with disciplinary processes
