Customer Service - Call Handler

GRG are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Customer Service / Call Handler to join our client's dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and healthcare professionals, providing exceptional service and support through phone, email, and other communication channels. This role is crucial in ensuring a seamless patient experience and maintaining high standards of care.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer inbound calls and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments using our medical scheduling system.
  • Provide accurate information about services, procedures, and treatments offered by our healthcare facility.
  • Address patient concerns and escalate issues to the appropriate departments when necessary.
  • Maintain and update patient records with confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Process insurance claims and provide assistance with billing inquiries.
  • Coordinate with medical staff to ensure timely communication of patient needs and requests.
  • Follow up with patients regarding their appointments, test results, and treatment plans.
  • Adhere to all regulatory and compliance requirements within the healthcare industry.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with healthcare practices and protocols.

**About You:

  • Experience in a customer service role, must be within the medical or healthcare industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using medical scheduling software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes is a plus.
