Location: Hemel Hempstead
Salary: Competitive (Depending on Experience)
Employment Type: Permanent, Onsite

Fulltime - 39.5 hours per week – 8am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday (4pm finish Friday)

We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill/Turn Programmer to join our Hemel Hempstead based client's innovative manufacturing team. You will collaborate with Planning, Quality, and various other teams on new product introduction to develop and refine manufacturing methods for their customers' designs. Your expertise will be crucial in producing both prototype and repeat work, ensuring the highest precision and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program, set, and operate Takisawa CNC Lathes and CMZ Mill/Turn machines to produce components that meet exact customer specifications using Fanuc control (G & M codes), FAPT, and Manual Guide-I.
  • Consistently work with tight tolerances of +/- .001" (0.025mm) and occasionally as tight as +/- .0005" (0.0125mm).
  • Accurately log job timings in the company's ERP system, Javelin, ensuring accurate tracking by scanning on and off jobs.
  • Maintain and uphold 6S standards on the shop floor to ensure a clean, organised, and efficient work environment.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities, whether through minor adjustments or complete process re-engineering, to enhance manufacturing efficiency.

Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in the aerospace industry or a similar high-precision environment is essential.
  • High proficiency in programming Fanuc-controlled machinery, with strong experience in using G & M codes, FAPT, and Manual Guide-I.
  • Preferred experience with Edgecam for programming.
  • Extensive experience working with various materials, including Stainless Steel, Nylon, Titanium, Inconel, and Aluminium, while maintaining precise tolerances.
  • Either apprentice-trained or extensively qualified by hands-on industry experience.
