Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEN, helping them with academic tasks, social skills development, and emotional well-being.
- Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies, tailoring support to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued, respected, and supported.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support and progress monitoring.
- Act as a positive role model for students, promoting resilience, independence, and self-confidence.
Role Requirements:
- Previous experience working with students with SEN, preferably in an educational or support setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to supporting the learning and well-being of students with diverse needs.
- Flexibility and adaptability to respond effectively to the evolving needs of students and the school environment.
- Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support or mentoring (desirable but not essential).
