SEND Learning Mentor - Harrow, Northwest London - Immediate Start

If so, we have an amazing opportunity for you to join our client school as a SEND Learning Mentor in the vibrant borough of Harrow, Northwest London.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEN, helping them with academic tasks, social skills development, and emotional well-being.
  • Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies, tailoring support to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued, respected, and supported.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support and progress monitoring.
  • Act as a positive role model for students, promoting resilience, independence, and self-confidence.

Role Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with SEN, preferably in an educational or support setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to supporting the learning and well-being of students with diverse needs.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to respond effectively to the evolving needs of students and the school environment.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support or mentoring (desirable but not essential).
