Prototype UX Designer

**Job Purpose:

With the use of UX and design principles, create customer centred design materials to support the visualization, testing, and refinement of a product or solution before launch and scaling. Also create a sense of urgency within the product team to ensure they feel the customers' pain and get excited by the opportunity to find a solution.

**Main Responsibilities:

  • Turn research hypotheses into compelling stories to be used with customer research and turn research findings into actionable design recommendations
  • Create and design innovative, intuitive & user-centred stories, wireframes, user stories, user journeys, designs, prototypes, and interactive mockups that align with user needs, expectations and best practice
  • Adhere to brand guidelines, ensuring consistent brand representation across all digital platforms.
  • Present design concepts to internal business stakeholders, customers, and partners
  • Work collaboratively with developers and other creatives in a fast-paced environment, enabling a seamless translation from design to functionality.
  • Rapid prototyping & collaboration
  • Continuously iterate on design solutions based on engagement with sponsor users, SME community and data analysis
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies and techniques in UX design.

**Essential knowledge, skills, experience, qualifications & competencies:

  • Proven experience in UX research and design, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful research projects.
  • Strong knowledge of user-centred design principles, methodologies and best practices
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment is a plus
  • Excellent user-centred design and prototyping skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
  • A problem-solver with a keen eye for detail and a dedication to creating the best possible user experience.
  • Proficiency in design tools like Smaply, Miro, Sketch, Adobe XD, or Figma
