Data Manager: £35-45k - London (Hybrid)
As the 'face of IT' for our local and remote users, this role is vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and functionality of computer systems and providing efficient technical support and administration to our colleagues within the organisation
The environment is fast paced, and the team is passionate about delivering excellent customer service, resolving customer issues, and involved in all aspects of technical support.
This position would be based from our Central London based office with WFH provide once or twice per week.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a first point of contact between the Tech department and employees to ensure they receive appropriate IT assistance in a timely manner
- Assisting the development team with database requirements from permissions to security and disaster recovery.
- Liaise with the managed service providers and third party support as appropriate using the agreed request fulfilment, incident management and change management processes
- Monitor and act upon incident and service requests logged with the service desk teams, maintaining ownership of these requests including communication with users and colleagues.
- User management (starters, leavers, and movers)
- Assisting colleagues with technical issues, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Manage and maintain the Asset Management Database (hardware, software and cloud services)
- Assisting with routine system and software updates, patches, and upgrades as needed.
- Providing basic training and guidance to colleagues on using software applications and tools.
- Adhering to IT policies, procedures, and security guidelines.
Requirements:
- A minimum 4 years of experience
- Good knowledge of Windows & Mac operating systems, Office 365, Microsoft Office packages.
- Knowledge and experience with administration of SQL Server and/or other ETL systems.
- Experience with Snowflake, Python, or VBA (Bonus points for all 3!)
- Experience with AWS cloud services.
- Applicable professional qualification, such as Microsoft or Oracle is desirable.
- Knowledge of iOS configuration and support of Apple devices including iPhone, iPad and MacBook and familiarity with Mobile Device Management solutions.
- Good analytical skills, using mental reasoning or research to gain insight into or solve IT problems.
- Experience of hardware and software installation and configuration.
