We are currently seeking an immediately available Sales Ledger Clerk to join a growing manufacturing company based in Gillingham. This temporary assignment is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to assist with a backlog of work, with the potential for a permanent contract as the company continues to expand.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Managing the sales ledger and ensuring all invoices are issued timely and accurately.
  • Allocating payments in accordance with customer remittances.
  • Processing and generating reminder letters and monthly statements.
  • Liaising with the sales team to resolve outstanding queries.
  • Ensuring that all major accounts work to agreed order to cash cycle.
  • Investigating and resolving queries relating to non-payment of invoices.
  • Working to strict monthly and annually collections targets.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Sales Ledger Clerk or in a similar role.
  • Must be immediately available or able to start within a week.
  • Strong understanding of the sales ledger process.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
