A prestigious university in Central London is seeking a Multi-Skilled Handyperson to join their Engineering Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of the campus facilities for staff, students, and visitors.
Day to Day of the role:
- Carry out planned and routine maintenance across the campus.
- Undertake maintenance and fabric repairs with a focus on mechanical and electrical assets.
- Conduct visual checks and inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
- Manage individual workload efficiently while collaborating with Technicians.
- Adhere to compliance standards and provide excellent customer service.
- Utilise IT systems, including an iPad/CAFM system, to manage assigned work effectively.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in maintenance/fabric roles with relevant qualifications.
- Knowledge in mechanical, carpentry, and electrical disciplines.
- Proficiency in IT, particularly Excel.
- A flexible attitude and the ability to work well within a team.
- Good understanding of health and safety practices.
- A willingness to learn, develop, and undertake further training as needed.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience managing work through an iPad/CAFM system.
- First Aid certification.
- IOSH Working Safely qualification or similar.
