Software Engineer
Full time, Temporary (12 months FTC)
We are looking to recruit a Software Engineer to join our IT department. The successful candidate will develop and support the MSC UK Software Solutions function, in line with defined development standards.

Skills and experience you'll bring to us
- Advanced knowledge of development languages/frameworks (Angular (or similar front end javascript framework) C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, .NET 6+ ,Entity Framework and SQL Server.
- Working knowledge/experience of software development lifecycle and project management methods (Agile, Scrum).
- Ability to effectively apply common software engineering patterns and practices.
- Working knowledge of source control procedures and practices (Azure DevOps, TFS & Git, CI/CD) .
- Ability to identify, isolate and fix faults in existing systems.
- knowledge of ITIL terminology is advantageous
- Team player.
- Organised with good time management skills.
- Self-motivated with high personal working standards.
How you will help us and what you can expect
- Produce software as required in a timely and accurate manner.
- Create technical designs, based on defined business requirements. Using process, technical & business domain knowledge, contribute towards overall structure and design.
- Assist Technical Architect with workload estimation.
- Demonstrate that delivered solutions solve the given customer requirements, without adversely affecting other features.
- Take joint responsibility for bug resolution in line with defined SLA's
- Mentoring of development team members.
- Contribute towards the production of system documentation.
