As an Assistant Accountant, you will support the Financial Controller and assist in thoroughly analysing all ledgers and control accounts. You will drive forward the necessary transactions required within the accounting systems to allow the timely and accurate completion of monthly management accounts by the wider Finance team.

As an Assistant Accountant, you will support the Financial Controller and assist in thoroughly analysing all ledgers and control accounts. You will drive forward the necessary transactions required within the accounting systems to allow the timely and accurate completion of monthly management accounts by the wider Finance team.
Description
You will have some of the following responsibilities but will not be limited to:
Analyse and review both Accounts Payable & Receivable ledgers
Identify areas requiring attention and actions required
Preparation and posting of journals and Invoices into Sage and Xero
Production of balance sheet reconciliations
Ensure that finance department deadlines are strictly adhered to
Assist with ad-hoc financial analyses and reports
Assisting with any duties reasonably expected in Finance to cover holidays/sickness - for instance, checking sales invoices
To assist in the continual process improvement within the department, to constantly be looking for ways to streamline work tasks
Profile
- Be immediately available or on a 1 week notice period.
- Have previous experience in finance and accounts.
- The ability to work well within a team.
- Stong Microsoft Excel skills.
Job Offer
£28,000-£35,000 salary pro rata.
3 months FTC.
Immediate Start.
Hybrid working.
Leeds location.
