Our client is a sustainable and fast-growing software business, trusted by some of the world's most progressive companies. We're actively looking to recruit a Finance Manager to join the team permanently, taking the lead on revenue recognition, reporting & process innovation.

The Role:
This is a critical role in the Finance function, responsible for leading the recognition and reporting of Group wide revenues to ensure internal and external reporting requirements are met. You will build strong relationships with project managers, sales and commercial teams.
You will develop a deep understanding of the drivers of revenue performance, leading the implementation of increasingly automated and scalable processes to enable rich, actionable reporting and insights to support the business as it grows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee accurate revenue recognition in line with IFRS 15 and group policies across three revenue streams: Subscription, Software and Services
- Working with the Group Financial Controller, analyse complex contracts, identify performance obligations, and ensure revenue is recognised accurately
- Produce sound supporting papers for revenue accounting treatment and assist in answering external audit related queries and requests
- Business partner with Project Managers to understand project progress and ensure alignment between project delivery, revenue recognition & forecasts
- Prepare and report key revenue metrics including TCV (Total Contract Value), ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue) and other revenue related disclosures
- Develop new reporting metrics as required, along with associated data structures and processes
- Monitor group revenue performance in comparison with forecasts and comparative periods, investigating trends and variances, resolving anomalies, and producing meaningful commentary for both management and external reporting
- Lead the development and implementation of improved processes for revenue accounting and reporting, leveraging data quality and automating workflows to ensure scalability
- Act as a change agent, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and transformation within the Finance function
The Ideal Candidate
:
- Qualified Accountant with at least 3-4 years' post-qualification experience
- Proven experience in applying revenue recognition and reporting principles in line with IFRS 15
- Strong problem-solving skills with a change mindset
- Excellent Excel skills and ability to build relationships across all levels
- Experience in either a Software or professional services industry
