An exciting opportunity has arisen for a meticulous and dedicated Accounts Payable Clerk to join a dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing all invoices, credit notes, and purchase orders in an accurate and timely manner. With a focus on maintaining accurate ledger accounts and ensuring all liabilities are captured, this role is perfect for someone who thrives in a detail-oriented position.

What you'll do:

  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry within Purchase Ledger
  • Efficiently allocate complex invoices to appropriate cost centres
  • Obtain suitable payment authorisation for all expenditure items
  • Perform supplier statement reconciliations and resolve account queries promptly
  • Prepare supplier payment runs and submit for approval
  • Process personal expense claims in line with company policy
  • Provide support to Management Accounts co-members as required
  • Maintain housekeeping procedures within Purchase Ledger

What you bring:

  • Proven ability to accurately process high volumes of transactions in a purchase ledger environment
  • Track record of supplier statement reconciliation and resolution of queries
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong time management skills with ability to prioritise workload in a high volume environment
  • Good excel knowledge with ability to produce and maintain spreadsheets
  • Ability to work on own initiative and be proactive
