The successful candidate will be responsible for providing dedicated pay and reward expertise, ensuring all policies, processes and procedures relating to payroll and employment tax are reviewed and maintained in line with legislation.

What you'll do:

As a Payroll Manager, you will play a vital role in safeguarding the financial well-being of the company. Your goal will be maintaining compliance and streamlining payroll procedures for efficiency. You will be responsible for developing robust systems to process payroll transactions, collating data from various sources, overseeing payroll changes, maintaining contact with external providers, ensuring all paperwork is processed timely, arranging reports, administering benefit plans, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payroll completion, preparing related documents, and maintaining accurate account balances.

  • Develop and enhance robust systems to process payroll transactions.
  • Collate data from payroll sources and maintain payroll records.
  • Oversee processing of payroll changes such as New Hires, promotions and system upgrades.
  • Maintain contact with the external payroll provider for the UK.
  • Ensure all starter and leaver paperwork is processed in a timely manner.
  • Arrange weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports.
  • Administer benefit plans.
  • Ensure payroll is completed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Prepare payroll related documents.
  • Maintain accurate account balances.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Payroll Manager position will bring previous experience in payroll management along with accurate documenting skills and attention to detail. You should have excellent communication skills needed to convey complex payroll matters to all levels of the business. Competent IT skills, particularly proficiency with payroll software is essential. You should be analytical and comfortable in dealing with data/numbers. As a motivated self-starter and passionate people manager, you should be keen to make a difference. Confidence in presenting data in an interesting way is key along with being an effective influencer that can manage stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also required.
