Robert Half Talent Solutions are seeking a Financial Accountant for a fast growing organisation based in Newport.
The Financial Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, performing comprehensive financial analysis, and ensuring the accuracy of financial statements. This role involves supporting on the month-end closing process, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and producing financial reports. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Maintenance of Fixed Asset Registers and depreciation
- Working with external fiduciaries, support in the production of VAT and other tax returns, and submission to the tax authority
- Conduct variance analysis to compare actual results with budgets and forecasts, explaining any significant differences.
- Prepare and distribute monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in the annual budgeting process and assist in the preparation of forecasts.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
On offer: A salary of from £50,000 to £55,000 plus a generous benefits package, bonus and hybrid working.
