The Role
Reporting into the Finance Manager and working on a hybrid basis, duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant will include:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Perform variance analysis to compare actual results to budgets and forecasts.
- Assist in the preparation of management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct cost analysis and support cost control initiatives.
The Candidate
To be considered for the role we welcome applications from candidates with the following:
- Recent graduate with a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (e.g. Business w/ Finance)
- Enrolled in or planning to enrol in an ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification program.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and particularly Excel.
Salary & Benefits
In return, the successful Management Accountant will receive the following:
- £23,000 - 25,000 base salary
- up to 30 days holidays
- Hybrid working patterns from the Huddersfield office
- Free onsite parking
