Purchase Ledger - Team Lead

Salary: £40K - £45K

Location: London - Hybrid, 2 days a week in the office

We are looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger Supervisor to join a leading UK Consultancy who operate within Pensions, Risk, Insurance & Investments.

This is initially a 6-month FTC but with high potential of going permanent. Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, advise, train and provide technical support for a team of 4 Purchase Ledger Clerks.
  • Ensure all POs raised by the business are coded to correct nominal and balance sheet codes to facilitate accurate Management Accounts reporting for all departments
  • Circulate a weekly report to the business of unreceipted POs and invoices awaiting POs.
  • Escalate to the Payables Manager compliance issues and delays
  • Support the Payables Manager during their absence and any adhoc tasks required

Key skills & experience required:

  • Strong experience within Purchase Ledger Finance department
  • Knowledge of purchase ledger procedures is essential, including experience with payment runs, complex query resolution
  • Experience of supervising/managing a team
  • AAT qualified and further qualifications also advantageous
