Marine Electrical Field Service Engineer - Permanent Position (UK-Based Applicants Only)

Are you an experienced Field Service Electrician with a passion for hands-on work in the marine and offshore sectors? Join our client's growing team that specialises in delivering world-class electrical and automation solutions across the marine, renewable, and offshore industries. We're seeking skilled engineers who are ready to take on exciting challenges at sea and onshore.

About the Role

In this role, you will be integral to our client's marine and offshore services team, responsible for:

  • Diagnosing and repairing main and auxiliary systems, from engine rooms to bridges, including high-power generation, switch gear, propulsion, and navigation.
  • Procuring spare parts, scheduling service work, and planning maintenance.
  • Handling planned maintenance, upgrades, retrofits, and system overhauls.
  • Commissioning and configuring new and upgraded systems.
  • Modifying existing installations to meet evolving standards.
  • Collaborating closely with the design team to deliver innovative solutions in marine propulsion, auxiliary plant systems, offshore production, and mission equipment.
  • Mentoring and training other team members as needed.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Previous experience as an ETO or similar role on ships.
  • Strong expertise in troubleshooting, servicing, repair, retrofit, and commissioning of shipboard electrical, automation, and navigation systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a commitment to exceptional customer service.
  • Self-motivated, safety-oriented, and detail-driven.
  • IT proficiency, along with solid planning and organisational abilities.
  • Full UK driving license and the ability to drive company vehicles.
  • Applicants must be UK-based, as sponsorship is not available for this role.
