Finance Manager

A new role has been created with an established service provider based in West Kent. You will be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with a minimum of 5 years experience in a management role. Systems upgrades and implementation projects would be a huge bonus as they enter the next stage of developing the finance systems and procedures. Staff management skills are also key to the success of this role. This role is office based, reporting to the Director of Finance you will be responsible for:-

Duties of the Finance Manager role:

  • Managing, motivating and developing a team of 5 skilled finance professionals in accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and credit control
  • Recommend changes to improve systems and procedures on the operational side, in order to make things more efficient
  • Review the quality of the data, ensure the procedures are being followed in line with policy
  • Analyse data and suggest recommendations to improve the information
  • Oversee the month end close
  • Quarterly VAT returns
  • Preparation of year end accounts
  • Support the delivery of financial management and statutory reporting

Requirements of the Finance Manager role:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with a strong financial accounting background
  • Proven track record in managing a team
  • Experience of project management
  • Strong analytical background and first rate Excel skills
