I often hear of ACA/ACCA students going through their exams at a pace that is uncomfortable and rushed. Today I met with an Audit Partner who had a refreshing outlook on exams and developing their staff.
The end goal is to qualify, we all know that but the journey itself is just as important so being with a practice that listens to your needs is crucial. This particular practice takes time to sit down with you and the education provider to roadmap out the dates you would like to sit your exams and figure out the best timeline for you.
Secondly, if you do happen to fail the exam it's not the end of the world - they're not going to walk you out the door. They'll work with you to figure out how they can support you better, and ultimately you can decide when to re-sit.

Work Based Competencies
- ACA or ACCA (1st phase of exams completed)
- Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Experience of an electronic audit programme
- Minimum 1 year's worth of experience in running an audit from planning through to completion, based in the UK.
- Experience working with clients around £25m - £50 revenue.
