Are you ready to dive into the dynamic world of digital assets? Our client, an FCA-regulated firm, who are at the forefront of providing institutional-grade digital asset execution, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join their Finance Team.
This role offers excellent opportunities for personal and career development within the exciting world of digital assets, providing exposure to a wide variety of accounting functions. The successful candidate will become an integral part of the team, managing purchase and sales ledger duties, assisting with month-end and year-end preparations, annual audits, budgeting, and forecasting, and being the first point of contact for any finance queries within the company.
Responsibilities
- Leading the accounts payable process
- Timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices
- Raising and issuing invoices to their customers
- Reconciling company bank accounts
- Working closely with the Finance Director for timely preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting for senior management
- Acting as the main point of contact with banking providers
- Collaborating with the financial auditor for smooth and timely annual audit completion
- Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting for senior management
- Reviewing payroll with HR for staff in multiple jurisdictions
- Working with the Tax Director and external tax advisers to prepare tax filings and ensure compliance with tax legislation
- Reviewing and approving vendor payments
- Assisting with finance-related queries from other departments
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
Essential:
- Recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)
- 2-5 years of experience in a similar role
- Highly proficient with MS Excel
- Practical, pragmatic, and enjoys working as part of a small team in a busy environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
Desirable:
- Previous use of NetSuite accounting software
- Experience with UK VAT reporting
- Payroll knowledge
- Understanding of FCA reporting requirements for regulated entities
