Elevation Recruitment Group are exclusively partnered with a leading organisation who are looking for an experienced HSE Manager for their West Yorkshire based manufacturing site.
Reporting directly into the Senior Management Team, the business are looking for a HSE Manager with a strong technical competency and legislative knowledge of safety.
This role will support employees across the company in promoting a positive culture through strong leadership and utilisation of best practices. With a range of products and processes across their sites, the business are looking for an experienced HSE Manager that has a hands on approach and is confident in delivering cultural improvements.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Review and develop all aspects of health, safety and environment policy and activities
- Monitor, evaluate and review existing, new and upcoming Health & Safety, and Environmental legislation and ensure the business has appropriate systems and procedures in place to meet legal compliance
- Work proactively with managers and other key staff to establish and maintain a programme of continuous improvement in the management of Health & Safety, and Environment within their areas of responsibility which includes conducting regular audits
- Discuss areas for improvement with relevant staff and/or external bodies and agree appropriate corrective action
- Keep up to date with new legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of all Health & Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and any developments that affect the employer's industry
I'm keen to speak to individuals with the following skillset:
- Proven experience of working in HSE within a manufacturing environment
- NEBOSH Certificate as a minimum, ideally NEBOSH Diploma
- Experience of leading a team
- Experience of influencing change across a business;
