Learning Support Assistant
- Salary: £22,410 - £23,065 per annum, pro rata
- Locations & Job Type: Wakefield, Full Time (37 hours) / Huddersfield, Part-time (0.8 FTE)
We are looking for dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join two Further Education campuses in West Yorkshire.
Day to Day of the role:
- Assist in the smooth operation of the department in cooperation with other team members.
- Support administrative workload.
- Engage in various activities as per the programme, including personal development for young people.
- Provide excellent customer service and support to internal and external stakeholders, students, and the wider community.
- Contribute to efficient communication within the team.
- Offer learning support guidance to learners, ensuring successful completion of their programme.
- Support the Manager in the retention and achievement of learners.
- Assist with the recruitment of young people for training and outreach activities.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and professionals for recruitment purposes.
- Manage challenging behaviour and support the personal development of vulnerable young people.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience working with and supporting vulnerable adults in an educational setting.
- Ability to support learners both in a group and one-to-one setting.
- Strong understanding of Safeguarding practices for children and young people.
- Ability to work as part of a team to achieve common objectives.
