Key Responsibilities:
As a Part-Qualified Accountant, you will:
- Manage a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, payroll, and VAT submissions.
- Prepare annual and management accounts in compliance with UK GAAP standards and handle corporation tax returns.
- Review VAT returns, balance sheet controls, and ensure statutory filings are completed on time.
- Liaise with HMRC on client communications and tax-related issues, ensuring best practices are followed.
- Lead tax investigations and manage communication between clients and HMRC, if required.
- Keep up-to-date with accounting and tax regulations and provide insightful reports to clients.
- Handle any ad-hoc tasks as required, contributing to the continuous improvement of our services.
About You:
The ideal candidate will:
- Be part-qualified in ACA, ACCA, or CIMA / hold a relevant degree or have at least 2 years of practice experience.
- Be proficient in MS Word and Excel (training will be provided if required).
- Have excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of the team.
- Possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Be confident and approachable, with a friendly phone manner.
