About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Project Engineer to join our dynamic team, focusing on the Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) fit-out of a state-of-the-art hyperscale data center development project. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles and have extensive experience in the planning, design, and execution of large-scale electrical systems, specifically within the context of hyperscale data centers. This role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving, excellent project management capabilities, and a strong commitment to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the electrical design and implementation for the M&E fit-out phase of the hyperscale data center, ensuring all electrical systems meet the project's specifications, reliability, and efficiency goals.
  • Collaborate with the project management team to develop and track project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for the electrical fit-out.
  • Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure the electrical design integrates seamlessly with all aspects of the data center's construction and operation.
  • Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems, including power distribution, backup power (UPS and generators), lighting, and cooling systems.
  • Ensure compliance with all local and international electrical codes, standards, and best practices, including energy efficiency and sustainability targets.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential electrical system failures, ensuring high availability and reliability of power supply to the data center.
  • Facilitate effective communication across project stakeholders, including regular reporting on project status, challenges, and achievements.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in electrical engineering and data center technologies, applying innovative solutions to enhance project outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in electrical engineering, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in hyperscale data center projects.
  • Proven track record in managing M&E fit-out projects, from design through to commissioning.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, high voltage distribution, emergency power systems, and energy efficiency strategies.
  • Familiarity with CAD, BIM, and project management software tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Professional Engineering license or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CDCP) is highly desirable.
