Payroll Assistant

Grafton Banks Finance are supporting a growing, exciting business who are looking to recruit a Payroll Assistant on an initial 6-month basis. This role will be supporting both the finance and HR departments, working closely alongside the Payroll Manager to ensure the smooth running of the end-to-end payroll.

Duties may include:

  • Weekly, monthly and year-end payroll reports
  • Payroll calculations – wages, holiday, overtime etc.
  • Address and resolving any payroll related queries.
  • Liaising with HR to collect data, ensuring its correct.
  • Processing weekly, monthly or even bi-weekly payroll
  • Ad hoc project and support to finance.

Essential skills/experience for this role:

  • A minimum of 6 months to a 1 year of payroll experience, ideally within the end-to-end payroll process.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience using Sage or Xero.
  • Ability to commute to central Brighton based offices, on a daily basis during the training period. There will be flexibility to work on a hybrid basis after this.
