Bookkeeper

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our client, a well-established practice accountancy firm. The Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in managing the financial records and transactions for clients.

The responsibilities of the Bookkeeper include but are not limited to the following:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial transactions and records.
  • Complete bank reconciliation, month-end accrual, prepayments and VAT returns.
  • Generate regular financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts for clients.

Skills, Experience & Key Candidate Attributes:

  • Experience in bookkeeping and working in an accountancy practice environment.
  • Proficiency with accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, AutoEntry, and Dext.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An eye for detail and the ability to produce consistently accurate work.
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and practices.
