Full-time position
Monday- Friday, 36 hours per week
Temporary role - 6 -month assignment (Temporary to permanent opportunities)
Hourly PAYE: £23.31-£24.62
Hourly Umbrella: £30.33-£32.03 (Inside IR35)
- This will be a hybrid role, conduct inspection every 3 months, but this is going to be changed to every 6 months.
Will need to be okay with working the odd weekend or evening, but this is not regular and might happen once or twice a year.
- Do you have experienced in dealing with contract, contractors and suppliers
- Are you methodical in recording and reporting the outcome of monitoring.
- Excellent communication skills are required with the ability to liaise accordingly at all levels
About the Role:
- Responsible to the Leisure and Culture Contract Manager for the supervision and monitoring provision of the Leisure and Culture Mutual Contract. Assist in the successful implementation of the new Contract, contract administration and re-tendering of this contract when required.
- Undertakes programmed and ad hoc visits to the Leisure and Culture Mutual Contract premises to check that the operational methods, procedures, quality and standards laid down in the contract and in the contractors submission are adhered to, and reporting any findings to the Leisure and Culture Mutual Contract Manager.
- Maintains records of contract performance, recommending the issue of site rectification notices where appropriate. Prepares, issues and records notices as directed by the Leisure and Culture Mutual Contract Manager, in accordance with contract requirements.
- Drafts reports and letters dealing with enquiries, suggestions and complaints from members of the public, within agreed corporate performance targets.
Ensures that the contractor adheres fully to the requirements of the Health and Safety legislation and regulations requirement within the contract in all areas

Attends meetings as directed by the Leisure and Culture Contract Manager. Liaises with external organisations, including the public and contractors as required. Assists as required in reviews of performance measures.
Ensure that financial, usage and performance management information is provided by the contractor within timescales and that it is relevant, comprehensive, and accurate.
Produce appropriate monitoring documentation and implement a robust monitoring system to ensure the effective delivery of services.
Act upon the findings of monitoring, working in partnership with other Council services and organisations to ensure the development of improved performance for customers and the borough residents.
Liaise with the contractor and recommend changes to fees and charges as part of the
council's annual review programme.
Ensure that appropriate inspections are carried out of plant, equipment and buildings, with input from the Council's Design Service and/or any other appropriate team responsible.
