We are actively recruiting for Teaching Assistants in the Bexley area on either a day to day or long term basis. The role would be to start ASAP and will be on going.
Here at Engage Education we have built a strong relationship with Primary and SEN schools in the Bexley area and are looking for enthusiatic and passionate support staff to work in some of our fantastic schools. The roles will in a range of Year groups from Reception to Year 6, and will either be general or SEND supporting children with Autism, ADHD or non verbal students depending on your experience.
We welcome applicants with:
- One year minimum prior experience working in education
- Have experience working with children with SEN on 1:1 basis or in classes
- A good understanding of working with students with ASD, learning difficulties and challenging behaviour.
- Enthusiastic about raising the attainment of their pupils and delivering the secure, welcoming and warm learning environment that they deserve.
- By being proactive, flexible and taking initiative, you will be assisting the class teacher to create a safe space where our pupils can truly shine.
The ideal candidate:
- Patient, flexible and resilient manner.
- Enthusiastic and passionate about helping children with special educational needs.
- You will be expected to think on your feet and be proactive, no day is the same in a Special School, so being prepared is vital.
- Ability to form excellent relationships and rapport with pupils and staff alike, to support pupils in conjunction with a much wider support network.
