JOB- Senior Mechanical Engineer
LOCATION- Cambridge
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £45,000 to £65,000 per annum (plus benefits)
My client is a pioneering designer and manufacturer of technological products going into the consumer electronics market. They are looking to expand their design team by taking on a Senior Mechanical Engineer to work in their offices in Cambridge.
The Senior Mechanical Engineer
will ideally have the following attributes:
- 5+ Years of Mechanical Design Engineering Experience
- Experience in R&D
- Mechanical Engineering Degree, or a related Degree
- Excellent 3D CAD skills (Ideally SolidWorks)
- Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team - being able to make decisions and, occasionally, lead effectively
- Have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Be keen to develop with a company long term
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
The Senior Mechanical Engineer role will involve:
- Working within the current engineering team
- Producing new product concepts
- Producing engineering documents in line with contracts and projects
- Producing 3D designs and FEA models using CAD software
- Generating the BOM's to go with the associated designs
- Liaising with colleagues on other engineering tasks as required
