Civils Supervisor

Morgan Hunt are currently looking to recruit a Civils Contracts Supervisor to join one of their clients based in the Moray area. This role is a temporary role but is likely to lead to a permanent role for the right person.

This role will involve dealing with in-house contractors to deliver planned, cyclical and routine maintenance, other construction works. Responsibility for estimating and tendering, procurement of sufficient resources, planning, health and safety, achieving profit targets and the day-to-day management of in-house and sub-contractor operations, to provide best value. Ideally looking for someone who possesses HND in Civil Engineering or similar qualification will be considered.

Your duties will involve:

  • Ensure that all operations are carried out in accordance with health and safety legislation, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Investigate and/or review near miss and accident reports
  • Dealing with enquiries and complaints.
  • Managing staff resources and allocation of work.
  • Participate in recruitment, selection and appointment of staff and effective distribution of staff resource.
  • Manage the programming and construction of in-house contractor activities, including sourcing materials and equipment as required.
  • Investigate claims and prepare reports for insurers and legal representatives.
  • Keep up to date with new legislation, equipment, processes and changes to operational policies and procedures
  • Ensure that new legislation relating to Civils and Construction and Maintenance.
