Description
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure quality and delivery targets are met.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to understand their needs and requirements.
- Analyse market trends and apply insights to procurement strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information.
- Identify risks and opportunities within the supply chain.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement in the Procurement & Supply Chain department.
Profile
A successful Category Buyer should have:
- Proven experience in a similar procurement role within the FMCG industry.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong analytical abilities and financial acumen.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
Job Offer
- A competitive salary range of around £33,000 - £38,000 per year.
