Salary: £80,000 - £90,000
Remote Working (w/ 2 visits to Bournemouth per month)

The Opportunity
This is an opportunity for someone to take on the role as 'Head of Engineering' within an award-winning digital agency (50-100 employees size) and oversee mobile & web teams who are delivering projects for charities around the world.
Specialising entirely in using tech for the greater good, their customers are all charities so the work you would be doing is genuinely making the world a better place and is highly impactful.

What are they looking for?
First and foremost, someone with heaps of passion and energy for their job to come and set the ongoing technical direction for the organisation.
The Head of Engineering will be overseeing the team leads across web & mobile app teams within the business therefore a strong technical background and knowledge is required with tech such as PHP, Node.js, Android, iOS (ideally if you have worked with mobile development teams this is a huge bonus).
We are looking for a senior engineering leader who will drive forwards innovation and ensure best engineering practices and industry standards are being met, whilst providing leadership/mentoring to technical leads across the business.
Along with strong and clear communicate skills - You'll be pitching and meeting with current and future clients, so experience of pitching to non-technical and technical stakeholders is very important.
Experience needed:
- Education within Computer Science, Engineering or related field
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role and setting the technical direction of the business
- Expertise within Solutions Architecture and Team Management
- In depth knowledge of technologies relevant to web and mobile app development: PHP, Node.js, Android, iOS, AWS
- Experienced with cross-collaboration with other teams such as Product, Design and Delivery teams.
- Experienced in delivering proposals and pitches to both technical and non-technical people
- Strong mentoring experience
This role is a UK based, remote working position with the requirement to visit their Bournemouth office 2 times per month.
