Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Sales Director to drive our sales efforts within the Healthcare sector. The ideal candidate will develop and execute strategic sales plans, foster relationships with key NHS stakeholders, lead our sales transformation programme, and ensure the successful deployment of our technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy and Planning:

  • Formulate and implement robust sales strategies to meet revenue goals and expand our footprint.
  • Identify emerging business opportunities and market trends in the NHS sector.
  • Collaborate with marketing to design and launch targeted campaigns and initiatives.

Client Engagement and Relationship Management:

  • Develop and sustain strong relationships with key decision-makers within the NHS.
  • Ensure compelling presentations and product demonstrations are delivered to highlight the value of our solutions.
  • Lead the team to negotiate and secure complex sales agreements with NHS trusts and healthcare organizations.

Sales Transformation:

  • Lead the evolution of the sales function to improve process, capability and governance.
  • Integrate best practices and innovative sales methodologies to drive performance.
  • Align sales processes with overall company objectives and industry standards.

Building Organizational Capability:

  • Identify and deliver learning needs of the sales function to enhance skills and capabilities.
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Equip the team with the necessary tools, knowledge, and skills for success.

Collaboration with Matrix Functions:

  • Foster strong collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Product Development, Marketing, Customer Support, and Operations.
  • Ensure seamless communication and cooperation between sales and other departments to optimize customer solutions and service delivery.
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction and business results.

Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence:

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to understand the needs and challenges of the NHS.
  • Monitor competitor activities and identify opportunities for differentiation.
  • Provide strategic feedback to the product development team to ensure our solutions meet our customer's evolving needs.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, inspire and develop a team of sales professionals to achieve and surpass sales targets.
  • Promote a collaborative and high-performance culture within the sales team.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide continuous training and development opportunities.

Reporting and Forecasting:

  • Generate accurate sales forecasts and reports for senior management.
  • Develop and implement key performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory and organisational standards.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Proven success in a senior sales role within the healthcare technology sector, particularly with the NHS.
  • Deep understanding of NHS procurement processes and the healthcare IT landscape.
  • Strong track record in building and maintaining relationships with senior NHS stakeholders.
  • Experience in leading sales transformations and building organizational capabilities.

Education:
