We are seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a dynamic and social team located in the City of London. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of all purchases made by the company and ensuring timely payments to suppliers. You will play a vital role in assisting in the maintenance of the financial stability and efficiency of the organisation.
Responsibilities:
- Purchase Ledger Management: Process and record all purchase invoices accurately and efficiently in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Supplier Management: Liaise with suppliers to resolve any invoice discrepancies or payment queries in a timely manner.
- Payment Processing: Ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices, reconciling purchase orders and delivery notes to invoices before making payments.
- Expense Management: Review and process employee expense claims, ensuring compliance with company policies and obtaining necessary approvals.
- Record-keeping: Maintain organised and up-to-date purchase ledger records, including supplier details, invoices, and payment information.
- Month-end Reconciliation: Assist with month-end closing procedures, including reconciling supplier statements, resolving any outstanding issues, ad preparing reports as required.
- Financial Reporting: Provide accurate and timely information to the finance team to assist in the preparation of financial reports and analysis.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, company policies, and procedures.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of purchase ledger operations.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and finance, to ensure smooth end-to-end purchase-to-pay processes.
