Lead Network Engineer

We are seeking a Lead Network Engineer to join an established Law firm in central London.

3 days onsite in City Thameslink per week.

You will be acting as the sole Lead Engineer for the firm, reporting directly to the Technical Operations Manager- and responsible for maintaining their existing LAN/WAN infrastructure.

Great opportunity to lead projects to enhance and expand their network capabilities, including office moves and changes.

Skills and Experience:

  • Relevant Azure and Cisco qualifications.
  • Preferred certifications: Palo Alto, VMware VeloCloud, FortiGate.
  • Over 5 years of experience in network engineering.
  • High-level and low-level design (HLD/LLD) documentation skills.
  • Strong knowledge in the Microsoft Azure cloud stack.
  • Experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Azure environments.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage complex network infrastructure using Cisco Campus Networking 9300 series and Cisco Nexus switches.
  • Configure, deploy, and maintain Palo Alto Prisma Access firewall policies to ensure secure access to critical applications and data.
  • Implement and manage VeloCloud SD-WAN solutions to optimize network performance and ensure reliable connectivity across multiple locations.
  • Administer and configure FortiGate Firewalls for advanced security measures and threat management.
  • Monitor network performance, identify issues, and perform necessary troubleshooting to maintain optimal network health.
  • Develop and enforce network security policies, procedures, and standards to protect organizational assets.
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to assess and mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Provide advanced technical support and mentorship to junior network engineers and IT staff.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the network infrastructure remains robust and up-to-date.
  • Comply with all relevant legal and regulatory obligations, including the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Standards and Regulations, and Principles.
