Job Title: Senior Paraplanner & Operations Manager
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000
Location: Sheffield
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finanical planning professional to join a forward-thinking Independent Financial Planning firm that are based in Sheffield. This firm has a strong reputation in the industry and provides independent advice across a range of case types including Pensions, Investments, and Corporate Advice.
With part of the role involving overseeing the firms back office support, the role would suit someone who is diploma qualified and has a good technical understanding of financial planning, alongside strong interpersonal skills and a desire to have a more hands-on role from a management point of view. This is a varied position and someone who is happy developing themselves and learning new skills would be ideal.
There are several elements of the role including supervision of staff members, allocation of workflow, working with the compliance function, liaising with clients, and overseeing the paraplanning and admin function.
Given some of the technical requirements for this role, the ideal candidate would be Level 4 diploma qualified and have a good understanding of pensions and investments, along with previous experience within an IFA firm.
The Required Skills:
- Level 4 Diploma qualified through the CII or equivalent
- Experience of providing paraplanning support within a financial planning / wealth management firm previously.
- Good communication skills and comfortable dealing with clients face to face, on the phone and through written correspondence.
- Strong technical knowledge, particularly around pensions and investments, along with a desire to continue developing this.
- Experience with intelligent office would be advantageous
