Your New Job Role

As a Support Worker, you will assist the Manager in creating a home that meets the holistic needs of service users both inside and outside the home. Your role will involve delivering quality care, ensuring the effective use of resources, and maintaining the security and confidentiality of records. You will also participate in training activities, attend staff meetings, and support service users in their daily living activities, physical and social activities, and overall well-being.

What You Will Need To Succeed

  • Knowledge of the home's policies and procedures.
  • Ability to comply with health and safety responsibilities.
  • Effective communication skills to report malfunctions and concerns to the Manager.
  • Commitment to participating in training and keeping statutory training requirements up to date.
  • Proficiency in completing records accurately and handling administrative tasks efficiently.
  • Compassion and dedication to delivering quality care to service users.
  • Ability to assist with daily living activities, mobility, and continence issues.
  • Skills to support service users in physical and social activities.
  • Professionalism in maintaining good relationships with service users' families, care professionals, and other stakeholders.
  • Willingness to undertake wake night or sleep-in shifts as required.
