This is a fabulous opportunity for a Classroom Support Assistant that enjoys working on a 1:1 and small group basis with children with moderate to severe SEN needs. This is a highly respected and popular specialist school and its is seeking 2x CSA's for a full time, permanent role (term time only). This role is needed due to a planned expansion in September 2024. Applicants for this role need to be nurturing, patient and committed to making learning accessible to secondary aged learners (11-19 years). This school offers exceptional training courses completely free of charge with time in your working day to complete all necessary aspects allowing to develop in your career to HLTA or qualified status. The school in question boasts brilliant grounds, outstanding resources and outdoor learning spaces. This is a warm, welcoming and fun environment and this is echoed by staff, parents and learners. You would join a long standing and committed team and would support in the delivery of a creative, relevant and practical curriculum that meets the needs of every child. This is a fabulous opportunity not to be missed. This role is needed on a term time basis, Monday-Friday 08:30-4:30pm.

All applicants for this position must have the following requirements to be considered:

  • Teaching Assistant Qualification (desirable but not essential)
  • Relevant teaching Assistant and SEN experience (desirable)
  • GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
  • Eligibility to work in the UK

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting learners on a 1:1, small group and whole class basis
  • Supporting learners with severe and complex needs
  • Working with the teacher to support the learning objectives
