Marketing and Business Development Manager

An excellent opportunity to join a growing business who are situated close to Richmond, North Yorkshire as they are recruiting for a Marketing and Business Development Manager to join their team on a full time and permanent basis.

The success of this role relies on intelligent targeting and building relationships with businesses the client is best suited to work with, rather than focusing on volume. You will fully understand the sales process and touchpoints, ensuring the client is top of mind for relevant tenders.

Your responsibilities include defining, managing, and executing multi-channel business development. Additionally, you are expected to ensure that planning and execution are of high quality, within budget, and on time.

Duties will include:

  • Define and deliver marketing initiatives to generate new sales and develop opportunities with existing clients
  • Collaborate with key accounts and the Contract Director to enhance account-based marketing (ABM) by maximizing return on investment
  • Conduct research, understand ecosystems, and develop relationships to keep the company top of mind for new contracts. Maintain regular contact with clients and prospects, including developers, project managers, architects, engineers, surveyors, and supply chain managers
  • Generate leads, opportunities, and meetings for the senior management team through business development and marketing activities
  • Use your knowledge and research to identify active workstreams (e.g., hospitals, schools, warehousing, power, green energy) and target them accordingly
  • Collaborate with Key Account Managers on campaign plans to drive demand for our services
  • Keep the marketing plan up-to-date and visible to key stakeholders
  • Execute campaigns across multiple channels using available marketing tools and technology
  • Partner with the sales team and participate in regular team meetings for alignment
  • Share best practices with the sales team and estimators
  • Work with management and the sales team to plan and deliver events for customers and prospects, such as factory visits, entertainment, conferences, and webinars
  • Attend management meetings and contribute to marketing and business development strategy
