As the Head of Communications & Marketing, you will be responsible for devising and implementing effective and engaging marketing and communications campaigns that drive value and enhance the reputation of the business.

Leading and managing a small internal team of Marketing & Communications Specialists, you'll oversee all content generation and management across the fuIl range of marketing and communications channels, including web, social media, email marketing, media relations and internal comms.

Additionally, you will be responsible for the design and production of marketing materials to support brand positioning and business objectives.

The ideal candidate will have experience in strategy development, media relations, public relations, internal communications and crisis management and will have previously led marketing/communication teams.

The role:

  • Full ownership over comms strategy, delivering campaigns that drive brand, reputational and commercial growth

  • Establish a schedule of comm targeted ay media and clients including business updates, results and reports

  • Review external customer communications, providing MI on insights and trends in customer feedback as well as maintaining and manipulating the CRM system

  • Develop internal comms strategy (digital, video, audio) ensuring high employee engagement and a positive workplace culture.

  • Budget and resource management including support from external agencies

  • Formulate and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with the company's business goals and objectives.

  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, target audiences, industry trends and competitor landscape to inform marketing strategies, campaigns and plans.

  • Create compelling content, including posts, articles, videos, and graphics that align with the brand and values.

  • Monitor campaign performance, analyse metrics and make data-driven improvements.

  • Generate reports to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing efforts and ROI, managing the marketing budget effectively.

  • Design and deliver a programme of external events and campaigns to support the business objectives, campaigns and wider business goals.

  • Manage PT, social media and marketing agencies to deliver the annual PR & campaign plan.

  • Draft press releases, media pitches and deal announcements

  • Support the handling of media relations with support of Director

  • Leverage social platforms to promote firm thought leadership, news, and successes.

  • Responsible for the line management and professional development of team of three, coaching and mentoring them to achieve their full potential

The Candidate:

  • Demonstrable experience in a Senior Marketing/ Communications role.
  • Experience directing/working alongside external agencies
  • People leadership with a track record of developing, building and engaging effective teams
  • Knowledge of Adobe, plus video and digital skills.
  • Understanding of the NHS/healthcare would be advantageous.
