Contracts Manager

An established leading Main Contractor in Construction, involved in Site Landscaping and General Contracting is looking for a Contracts Manager to join the team. They have an incredibly strong order book and are experiencing rapid growth.

You will be overseeing approximately 8 sites across Kent and Sussex. Reporting into the Contracts Director, it is envisaged you will be out on site most of the time with occasional work carried out in the office for administration.

Along with a salary of £52,000 per annum, you will also receive a company car.

As Contracts Manager, you will be managing a number of projects from conception to completion and be accountable for all aspects of projects delivery which will include:

  • Ensuring staff welfare & health and safety on site
  • Housekeeping & Toolbox Talks
  • Overseeing all financial aspects of the project and being aware of costs and quoting for work
  • Monitoring project budgets and expenses.
  • Visiting staff on site
  • Liaising with clients at all levels, forging positive relationships.
  • Contract administration
  • Representing the business in a strategic manner that gives them confidence the work will be scheduled, completed, and carried out to a high standard.
  • Negotiating and ensuring compliance with contracts.
  • Risk Management, identifying and mitigating project tasks.
  • Quality Assurance
  • Procuring materials.
  • Attending meetings as and when required.

We're looking for a Contracts Manager with the following:

  • Demonstrable proven track record in a similar role with a strong background in building trades.
  • Excellent communication skills within the team environment
  • H&S knowledge
