We are recruiting for a long established manufacturing company based in Southend on Sea for an electrical biased multiskilled maintenance engineer on a permanent basis to join their engineering team.
The multi skilled engineer will be responsible for providing a responsive engineering service to the site manufacturing team, to ensure high levels of machine availability, reliability, safety and quality.
Other key elements of the role involve:
- Perform proactive machine maintenance in accordance to the PPM schedule.
- Identification and recovery of electrical and mechanical faults on all process machinery and ancillary equipment.
- Monitoring and adjusting equipment to ensure quality is maintained.
- Record and log maintenance requests and fault repairs.
Skills required for the multi skilled engineer:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, in a reactive and PPM work.
- A recognised electrical qualification, time served apprenticeship, example City & Guilds or HNC
- Experience in mechanical engineering.
- A good understanding of PLC & computer control equipment.
- Competent electrical/electronic fault finding and analysis skills.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation.
- Excellent computer skills - Excel, Word etc.
Other skills and qualifications, would be beneficial but not essential:
- 18th Edition
- Experience in Welding, using MIG & TIG.

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday - 7am to 4 pm with a half hour lunch, though hours can be flexible and by agreement.
Basic salary £37k plus overtime premium paid when extra hours are worked Monday to Friday.
