Position: Music Teacher

Location: Thurrock (also throughout Essex)

Start Date: September 2024 (sooner if available, July for Early Career Teachers)

Job Description:

A progressive and innovative secondary school is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Music Teacher. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality music lessons to students across different year groups.
  • Develop and implement a creative and inclusive music curriculum that caters to all students.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their potential.
  • Organize and lead extracurricular music activities, including school concerts, music clubs, and performances.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote the benefits of creative subjects within the school community.
  • Foster a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages student participation and creativity.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge and passion for music education.
  • Experience teaching music at secondary school level.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and collaborative working.
