QEH&S support

?? We are currently seeking a dedicated and driven individual to join our client's team as a QEH&S Support. �? Our client is a leading organisation with a global presence in the manufacturing industry, operating across multiple locations worldwide.

Working closely with the QEHS Coordinator, the QEH&S Support will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities related to the QEHS system at the Peterborough plant. This role presents an excellent opportunity for personal growth and development in the field of QEHS, paving the way for future career advancements within our client's organisation.

  • Maintain and monitor compliance with various standards, ensuring the effectiveness of the quality management programme.
  • Drive safe working practises throughout the plant through employee engagement.
  • Conduct internal product sample checks to ensure customer specifications are met.
  • Regularly review quality and performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Support internal auditing functions and schedules.
  • Manage calibration and quality management systems.
  • Contribute to occupational health monitoring efforts.
  • Investigate non-conformance issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare for and participate in internal/external audits, addressing any identified issues.
  • Stay updated on legislative changes and best practises that impact the business.
  • Monitor and maintain the COSHH database, ensuring safe chemical handling and storage.
  • Provide support in site queries, investigations, and risk assessments.
  • Develop and deliver safety training programmes to promote employee awareness and engagement.
  • Proactively review processes and procedures to prevent safety incidents and quality issues.
  • Experience in safety (preferred but not essential).

- Previous experience in ISO 9001: 2015 (desired).

  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload.
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
  • Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining high standards.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with employees, management, and auditors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Math's with grades A*-C/9-4.
  • Additional qualifications (e.g., HNC or HND) in Environmental Management, Occupational Health & Safety, or Quality Management are advantageous.
