Hours: Mon- Fri 8:30-16:30 Flexible - minimum 22.5 and up to 37.5

About the team:

The IST team provides specialist, multi-disciplinary input under the Transforming Care Programme to autistic children, adolescents, and adults in order to prevent a mental health hospital admission. The team currently consists of Occupational Therapy, Clinical Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, Therapy Assistants and Support Workers working across Coventry and Warwickshire. The team has a strong psychology presence and ethos with opportunities to supervise and develop Assistant and Trainee Psychologists in addition to supporting embedding a psychological approach across all MDT activities.

To be successful in applying for this role you will need:

  • Experience in Mental Health or Autism

In addition to experience, all Qualified roles will be required to provide evidence of:

  • Relevant Qualifications
  • Registration with the relevant Registration Body

Role responsibilities:

  • Working within the MDT to highly provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation and intervention for young people referred to the IST.
  • To highly provide specialist psychological advice, guidance, training, and consultation to others across a wide range of agencies and settings.
  • Supervise and manage the workload of Assistant, Trainee and Band 7 Clinical Psychologists within the framework of the team's policies and procedures.
  • Utilise theory, evidence-based literature, and research to support evidence-based practice in individual work and with other team members.
