Overview
Robert Walters are partnering with a rapidly expanding retail business in North Manchester to recruit a proactive and commercially minded Finance Analyst. Joining an award-winning finance function, you'll thrive in a dynamic, data-led environment, playing a pivotal role in delivering insightful analysis to support key commercial and strategic decisions.
This is a highly visible role where you'll collaborate closely with stakeholders across the business, offering robust financial insights and helping to shape decisions with value and impact in mind.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide detailed financial analysis and insights to inform business performance
- Support planning cycles, including budgeting and forecasting processes
- Investigate variances vs. plan and forecast, identifying underlying trends
- Deliver timely financial reports with meaningful commentary for stakeholders
- Partner with non-finance teams to develop a deeper understanding of key drivers
- Track and report on key financial metrics and support performance monitoring
- Assist in the automation and improvement of reporting and forecasting tools
- Conduct scenario analysis and support on ad hoc financial modelling
Skills & Experience
Must-Have:
- Strong analytical skills with experience in FP&A or commercial finance
- Ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders across all levels
- Excellent Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience in a fast-paced, commercially focused environment
Nice-to-Have:
- Degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
- CIMA, ACCA, ACA
- Background in retail, FMCG, or multi-site businesses
